Tetraiodothyronine (T4) is one of the important hormones secreted by the thyroid gland, and its detection has specific clinical value in the assessment of thyroid function and is used to screen for thyroid dysfunction.
Intended use:
1.Hypothyroidism (hypothyroidism): elevated TSH
Hyperthyroidism (hyperthyroidism): lowered TSH
2. Diagnosis and differential diagnosis of thyroid disorders. 3. Newborn screening for congenital hypothyroidism
Early detection and treatment may prevent mental retardation
3. Monitoring of thyroid function in pregnancy
Hypothyroidism or subclinical hypothyroidism in pregnancy may affect the neurodevelopment of the foetus
4. Evaluation of other endocrine disorders
